Everett is a Great Place for Families
I am a born and raised Pacific Northwesterner, daughter of working-class parents, and a proud member of a 3rd generation union family. My husband and I arrived in Everett in 1999 and have been fortunate to raise our four wonderful kids here. We are part of the community of long-time residents who have watched our city grow and evolve over the past few decades.
I am a working mom and former small-business owner, and I understand the challenges and tough choices families must navigate. I am currently the Director of Operations at a local law firm and have spent 10 years in real estate sales, appraisal, and property management, and 7+ years working in public service within King and Snohomish County agencies. I am a Snohomish County Human Rights Commissioner and member of the Evergreen Middle School Equity Team. I have also had the privilege of volunteering for many excellent community organizations over the years, including:
Board member and Community Outreach Volunteer for Seattle Suns, a local non-profit youth sports organization seeking to provide training and team opportunities for kids experiencing poverty, or from low-income families
SPAL Grants committee member for NOLOSE, a non-profit LGBT, queer and trans centered body-positive national organization
Students of Color Career Conference at Everett Community College
Everett Public Schools
My interests in transformational change and leadership led me to study business. I have an Associate of Arts degree from Edmonds College, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in both Marketing and Leadership, Organization & Management from Eastern Oregon University.
As someone who values life-long learning, I am nearing completion of a Master of Business Administration degree at City University of Seattle, and have completed graduate-level coursework in Finance, Marketing, Project Management, Business Operations, Strategic Planning, Accounting, Human Resources, Business Law, and Global Business Communications.
When not working on my current project (developing a personal care product line), out in the community, or spending time with family, you will likely find me photographing something (like the beautiful spring night looking out over our Everett waterfront that you see above), gardening, or relaxing with a book. Have a good book recommendation? Let me know!
